Thanks for wanting to participate with the market this season. All participants including vendors, musicians, and Community Table applicants must apply. It’s the same application for everyone!

We operate a professional market and ask a lot of our vendors. Please take your time to review the information on this page carefully. We do our best to set you up for success.

Who We Work With

FEE STRUCTURE -

Before You Apply

FARMERS

Farmers and Growers

$25 fee rate.

This accounts for possible vendor or market cancellations.

Receive 1 invoice for the whole season

REGULAR VENDORS

10 or more market dates

$30 weekly fee rate

Regular vendors who pay all their fees before the first market pay a $25 fee rate.

Receive 1 invoice for each week

DROP IN VENDORS

9 or fewer market dates

$40 fee rate

Receive 1 invoice for each week

Vendor Insurance is Not Required, But…

We have had many vendors ask us about available options, so in your application, there will be an opportunity to get a quote from MarketSpread if you are looking for Vendor Insurance. Additionally, you can reach out to farmersmarket@downtownmarquette.org for options other vendors have used or suggest.

All vendors and Musicians must have an Updated and Complete Direct Deposit on hand. If you do not provide us with one, any reimbursements or payments we make to you will be considered a donation to the market.

If you are unsure, it is best to fill out a new one.

All vendors selling non-edible, tangible items must have a Michigan Sales Tax Licence on file with us.

Additional Vendor Licenses

Be aware of any additional requirements or licenses you may need regarding the selling of your food or products at the market.

When applying to a new Market on MarketSpread, you will be asked to classify yourself.

Know Your Product Offering

You will be asked to provide all the products you plan to offer for sale at the market at the end of the application. Some vendor types are exempt, while other are required to provide this information. Read the tips below to understand what we need from you.
