All money collected through the Market Member program will be put directly into your market.

The DMFM is constantly looking for ways to benefit the Community beyond being a place to buy local. We use programs at our market to teach and help our community wherever we can. Programs like Power of Produce give kids creative ways to explore and learn about the market. Each week, they complete a task, and we give them $5 to buy their own produce at the market.

Supporting Vendors

The Market’s main form of funding everything we do and provide to vendors is through Vendor Fees. While the cost of hosting the DMFM does go up each year we try our hardest not to raise vendor fees. Your donation will go to covering market operations and support so we can keep Fees for Vendors at a minimum and provide you with a wide selection of quality local vendors.

Membership Benefits

  • The MDDA is offering Free Paring passes to 2026 Market Members.

    Permits Valid June - September

    In the Following Lots

    Lakeshore, Rock St., Baraga Ave., Spring St., South Main St., Lower Commons, and the Upper Level of the Bluff St. Ramp.

  • Market Members can shop 15 Minutes before the start of the market! Show vendors your member pin or card to get early access to your favorite market products!

  • Market Members can ring the Opening Bell at 9 am at the Saturday Market or 5 pm at the Wednesday Market. Come to the Info booth before the start of the market to let us know you want to participate.

  • Get to know the market vendors. Have a chat, buy something, and ask them to mark their name off your card. Turn your card into the Info Booth for a Market Member gift.

  • Some Farms would like to open their Farm Visits to Market Members. You can join the Market Manager during farm visits to meet the farmers and see how they grow your food.
